President Dr Mohamed Waheed has said that he will invite all political parties to “All Party Talks” within the next 48 hours. He made this statement while meeting foreign diplomats in Colombo this afternoon. President briefed the diplomats on the current political and economic scenario of the Maldives and outlined the steps being taken by the Government to resolve these issues.
President Waheed expressed the urgent need to find means of running the Government more efficiently, and spoke of his sincere appreciation of support being conveyed by friendly nations. He expressed his further hope for continued co-operation.
