President Mohamed Nasheed has this morning departed on a tour of some islands of Laamu Atoll.
During his visit, the President will meet with the Island Councils, and launch the Fonadhoo Sewerage System. He will also officially open a diving village in Gan of Laamu Atoll.
Further, a special function under the theme “Kolhumadulu, Hadhdhunmathi – Tharaqqee ge Kulavaru”, is scheduled to be held in Gan this evening, where the plans and progress of the government’s development schemes for the atolls will be shared with the people.
