In order to identify policies to improve the fiscal situation of the budget in the medium term and to achieve long-term fiscal sustainability; an inauguration ceremony to launch a government economic reform programme will be held on Monday, August 15th, at 09:45 pm at Dharubaaruge.
President Mohamed Nasheed will attend the ceremony as well as Cabinet Ministers, Members of the Parliament, State Ministers, political appointees and various individuals from the countries economic and financial sectors.
At the ceremony, President Nasheed will launch a compiled book which is anticipated to inform the general public on issues of fiscal and economic reform.
Issues of fiscal responsibility and reform shall be addressed and the long-term fiscal outlook will meaningfully improve following implementation of government initiatives for economic recovery.
