Madam Ilham Hussain, Spouse of the Vice President has met with the Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
At the meeting, Madam Ilham informed Prime Minister Hasina about the works being carried out by the Maldivian Autism Association. They also discussed about ways to identify autism in children at an early age, and further aid autistic children.
Bangladeshi Prime Minister noted the importance given to autism in the Maldives, and expressed her gratitude to Madam Ilham for her initiative in establishing the Maldivian Autism Association.
Madam Ilham Hussain is in Bangladesh at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's invitation, to attend a conference on "Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities in Bangladesh and South Asia".
