President Mohamed Nasheed has sent a message of sympathy to President Dmitry A. Medvedev of Russia following the sinking of the boat “Bulgaria” on the Volga River.
President Nasheed's message to President Medvedev reads as follows:

At this time of distress, I send my profound sympathy to you, the Government and the people of Russia, especially to those families directly affected by the tragedy.
