Nominations for national awards close tomorrow. Nominations forms for national awards should be submitted to the National Awards Committee by 1pm tomorrow.
National awards will be conferred at the special ceremony to mark the Republic Day every year, beginning this year’s Republic Day.
The government will confer two categories of national awards each year – Awards of Honour and Awards of Recognition.
The President will present a shield, a badge of honour, and a certificate to the conferees of Awards of Honour.
A commemorative plaque and a certificate will be presented to the recipients of Awards of Recognition.
