After discussing a paper presented by the Ministry of Housing and Environment, the Cabinet has decided to establish the Maldives Land and Survey Authority.
The Cabinet decided to establish the Maldives Land and Survey Authority, acknowledging the need for a separate agency to conduct surveys and collect and update information on the most beneficial use of lands, lagoons and reefs of the Maldives.
Members also underscored the importance of a separate government agency to formulate and implement cadastral survey standards in the Maldives.
