Before concluding his one day tour of North Ari Atoll, President Nasheed this afternoon visited and met the people of Maalhos.

 
Meeting the people of the island, the President said the government aims to establish the entire infrastructure necessary for the development, including water, sewerage, harbour, school, and employment opportunities in the island before the end of this administration’s five year term.
 
Further, saying that island’s school has been operating as single session school since last year, he noted that funding was included in this year’s budget to build four classrooms in the school, in addition to three classrooms that were build last year.
 
He also stated that the island’s sewerage system would be built in 2012.
 
The President also highlighted the economic and social benefits to the island as a result of government’s achievements in delivering its pledges, and success of its development programmes.
 
The President has this evening returned after concluding his visit to North Ari Atoll.
