President Mohamed Nasheed has today met with Hon Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Construction and Engineering Services. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, discussions were held on establishing a partnership between the Maldives and Sri Lanka in the field of construction.
President Nasheed noted that the Maldives construction industry was a well developed industry and that strengthening cooperation in this area would be mutually beneficial to both countries.
Minister Senaratne also expressed Sri Lanka’s interest to build a cricket field in the Maldives and discussed the matter with the President.
