President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has urged everyone to maintain rapport, follow Islamic traditions, and conduct themselves accordingly. He conveyed this message on the occasion of the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan in 1445.

In his address, the President emphasized the importance of enhancing the tradition of helping one another, stating that Ramadan is a month of goodness in all aspects. He also underscored the government's efforts to exemplify good conduct through various initiatives, including addressing concerns such as overdue payments for fishermen before Ramadan, resolving emergency patient airlift issues prior to Ramadan, distributing Ramadan gifts to each household, and designating the final ten days of Ramadan for worship, with offices declared closed during this period.

Additionally, President Dr Muizzu called upon citizens to keep the entire Islamic Ummah in their prayers, describing the Ummah as a unified entity akin to a single body. Specifically, he invoked prayers for the victory of the Palestinian people and freedom from oppression and injustice.

In his message on the occasion of the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, the President conveyed his greetings and good wishes to all Maldivians.
