President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Lh. Hinnavaru Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) and discussed the most important developmental plans for the island. The meeting was held at the Lhaviyani Atoll Education Centre.

During the meeting, Council Members highlighted various concerns, including issues with the electricity service, proposed modifications to the harbour project, the necessity to expedite electricity, water, and sanitation network connections to the newly reclaimed area, and the swift completion of the project to construct 50 rowhouses and 50 flats on the island.

Council members also emphasised the urgency of accelerating project completion for the council secretariat building, establishing a bank outpost alongside the existing ATM service, and advancing other socioeconomic developmental activities.

Addressing these concerns, President Dr Muizzu assured that the Administration would take prompt action to resolve them. He provided the latest updates on the issues raised by the Council through the Cabinet Ministers present at the meeting.
