Residents of N. Fohdhoo have expressed their concerns to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu regarding the approved design for the island’s harbour development. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of N. Holhudhoo, upon the request of Fohdhoo residents. The President is currently on a visit to several islands of Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani, and Noonu atolls.
During the meeting held this afternoon, community leaders from Fohdhoo submitted a petition to the President, containing 180 signatures outlining their proposed changes to the project. The residents provided detailed explanations of the modifications they sought.
Speaking at the meeting, the President assured that the proposed changes suggested by the community would be thoroughly reviewed in consultation with the relevant authorities.
