President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Sh. Noomaraa Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Kan'ditheemu Council.

At the meeting, the Council members shared their development needs with the President. They emphasised the need for harbour expansion and developing sporting facilities dedicated to youth. They highlighted the necessity of enhancing water, electricity, and sewerage networks. The Council further shared the need for a police post on the island and to facilitate single-session schooling. They also relayed concerns regarding the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) services.

At the meeting, WDC members spoke on the need to speed up harbour expansion, challenges caused by budget constraints, and the need to dedicate a workspace for the WDC members.

In response, the President stated that the Administration would work towards addressing the points raised by the Council. The Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates on the Government's efforts to address the issues.
