President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the HDh. Hirimaradhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at Nellaidhoo School tonight.

During the meeting, the Council addressed key developmental concerns regarding Hirimaradhoo Island. These included expanding the harbour, addressing space constraints at the council office, and budgetary constraints.

The Council members additionally remarked that the current Administration granted the councils the capability to decentralise. They expressed optimism in the Government's initiatives, stating that the Hirimaradhoo Council would spare no effort in supporting the Government's efforts.

Speaking at the meeting, the President announced the construction of the Hirimaradhoo Council Office as a special project that will commence within 20 days. He emphasised the Administration's commitment to addressing the concerns raised by the Council. Additionally, Ministers present at the meeting provided updates on the Government's ongoing efforts regarding the issues raised by the Council.
