President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the HDh. Makunudhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members. The meeting was held at the FENAKA Office on Makunudhoo Island.

At the meeting, Council members relayed their most vital development needs. They underlined transportation as their most significant challenge and relayed the need to develop an airport on the island. Additionally, they emphasised the need for road development, improving remuneration for council administrative staff, and extending the Council's jurisdiction to cover the entire Makunudhoo lagoon. The Council members also discussed sports development and further improvements to Makunudhoo School and Health Centre.

During the meeting, WDC members requested that human resource development initiatives be implemented with their active participation.

In response, the President assured the Council members that he would address the concerns raised by the Council. Cabinet Ministers also provided updates on the Administration's ongoing efforts to address the issues.
