President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the members of the HDh. Hanimaadhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC). The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Hanimaadhoo Council this morning.

During the meeting, the Council emphasised the need to establish a hospital, implement a housing project, develop an indoor sports complex, provide blood bank services, and make the Maldives Immigration Service on the island more accessible. Additionally, the Council noted the need to implement the second phase of modern road construction, provide banking services, improve the tourism sector, upgrade school facilities, and enhance police and airport services in Hanimaadhoo Island.

At the meeting, the WDC urged the Government to establish a proper system to weigh fish on the island. The members also expressed the need to develop the sports sector and concerns about the availability of medicines on the island.

During the meeting, President Dr Muizzu affirmed his commitment to resolving the issues addressed by the Council. The attending Ministers provided updates on the Government's initiatives regarding the Council's concerns.
