Chief Guide, First Lady Sajida Mohamed has attended the 2023 Annual General Meeting of the Maldives Girl Guides Association. The function was held at the Maldives Customs Service Hall this evening.
Speaking at the event, the First Lady emphasised the equal significance of men and women's contributions to national development. She underscored the necessity for women to acquire diverse life skills and trainings to progress effectively in this regard.
The First Lady highlighted that the skills, knowledge, and courage acquired through Girl Guide activities have propelled many participants into significant high-level positions in the country.
At the event, the First Lady presented awards to recipients of the Girl Guide Association's Chief Commissioner’s Certificate, the Asia Pacific Regional Award, and the Bronze Palm at the trainers’ level.
During the event, the Annual General Meeting Minutes of the Girl Guide Association 2023 were approved, along with the financial statement and the annual report for 2023. Additionally, the Girl Guide Association presented a memento to Chief Guide, First Lady Sajida Mohamed.
