President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) of Omadhoo Island in the Kolhumadulu Atoll today. The meeting was held at the Fenaka office at Omadhoo Island.

During the meeting, the council members informed the President of the residents' needs and the requirements for the island’s development. They relayed the challenges faced due to space constraints in the school and briefed the requirements needed to enhance the quality of school services. The members further requested to provide facilities for women's sports and expressed the need for government assistance to improve the island’s revenue. The Council additionally urged the Government to ensure ongoing projects without any hindrance.

The Omadhoo Women's Development Committee also shared their concerns and needs with the President. They expressed concerns over the challenges of implementing activities in the island due to budget constraints.

President Dr Muizzu ensured that the Government's relevant ministries would collaborate closely with the council to find cooperative solutions to the problems raised at the meeting.

A high-level government delegation accompanied President Dr Muizzu on his tour of the Kolhumadulu Atoll.
