President Dr Mohamed Muizzu stated that the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) record that the Maldives economy is on the right track. The President made the remarks while speaking with Dhiyamigili residents during his visit to the island on his tour of the islands in Kolhumadulu Atoll.

In his speech, the President said that the Administration had launched a massive effort to improve the Maldives' economy and that international entities had recognised the efforts. He added that the Maldivian people had endorsed the Administration's economic manifesto launched during his Presidential campaign.

The President underscored that he had briefed the World Bank and the IMF on the Administration's proposed strategies to address the current economic challenges during recent meetings. He noted that the World Bank and the IMF supported the proposed solutions. President Dr Muizzu additionally highlighted that these organisations were committed to supporting the Government in improving the economic situation.
