President H.E. Dr Mohamed Muizzu congratulated the President and Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on the occasion of the 76th Independence Day of Sri Lanka.
In separate messages to President H.E. Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister H.E. Dinesh Gunawardena, President Dr Muizzu conveyed greetings and extended his heartfelt felicitations on the 76th Independence Day of Sri Lanka.
President Dr Muizzu commended Sri Lanka for reaching this significant milestone and conveyed good wishes from the Government and the people of the Maldives to the Government and the people of Sri Lanka. He underscored the Maldives and Sri Lanka's long history of friendship, mutual respect, shared values, and commitment to maintaining regional stability.
Concluding the messages, the President expressed hope for further strengthening the friendly relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
