President Mohamed Nasheed and First Lady Laila Ali last evening hosted a dinner in honour of Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma and his wife Madam Babli Sharma.
The dinner held at Kuda Bandos was also attended by Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed, Speaker of the People’s Majlis Abdulla Shahid, members of the parliament, cabinet ministers and other dignitaries.
Secretary-General Sharma and Madam Sharma arrived in the Maldives on 16 October. The Secretary-General called on the President yesterday morning.
