President Nasheed has sent Republic Day felicitations to the President of India, Mrs Prathibha Devisingh Patil, and the country’s Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh.
In his messages, the President extended warm greetings and sincere good wishes of the Government and the people of the Maldives to the President Prathibha Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, and to the Government and to the friendly people of India on the auspicious occasion. Further, he expressed his confidence that the close relations of friendship and cooperation that existed between the Maldives and India would continue to strengthen in the years ahead.
The President also sent a message of felicitations to the Australian Governor-General, Mrs Quentin Bryce, and the country’s Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, on the occasion of Australia Day. In the messages, the President extended warm felicitations and sincere good wishes to the Governor-General Bryce and Prime Minister Rudd and to the people of Australia on the joyous occasion.
