President Mohamed Nasheed has sent two separate messages to President Prathiba Patil of India and President Zillur Rahman of Bangladesh on learning about the death of many people when Cyclone Aila hit India and Bangladesh.
In his messages, the President conveyed the profound sympathy of the government and the people of the Maldives, to the governments and the people of India and Bangladesh. President Nasheed also conveyed condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
