President Mohamed Nasheed has today appointed a ministerial committee to oversee the prevention measures from swine flu. The committee is tasked with devising the necessary measures to prevent and control swine flu from spreading in the Maldives. The committee will be headed by Dr Aminath Jameel, Minister of Health and Family. Other ministers included in the committee are:

Mr Ali Hashim, Minister of Finance and Treasury
Mr Ameen Faisal, Minister of Defence and National Security
Mr Mohamed Rasheed, Minister of Economic Development
Dr Ahmed Ali Sawad, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture
Mr Mohamed Aslam, Minister of Housing, Transport and Environment
