President Mohamed Nasheed has said that the government wants to see the privatisation bill, which was submitted to the People’s Majlis by Kulhudhuffushi-South constituency MP Mohamed Nasheed, expediently passed.
The President made this statement during a meeting with Mr Nasheed. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
The President thanked Mr Nasheed for proposing what the government believed was an important bill. The President said the bill included key features to which the government was already upholding.
He said he would request the MDP parliamentary group to give their full support to the bill.
