The President appoints Dr Aishath Shehenaz Adam as the High Commissioner for Pakistan

President Nasheed has today appointed Dr Aishath Shahenaz Adam as the High Commissioner of Maldives to Pakistan at a ceremony held this morning at the President’s Office.

In accordance with Article 115(l) of the Constitution, the President made this appointment in consultation with People’s Majlis.

Following the presentation of the Letter of Appointment to Dr Shehenaz, the President called on her to work to enhance the close relations between the Maldives and Pakistan and to uphold the government’s foreign and civil policies.
