President Ibrahim Mohamed hosted on Monday an official luncheon in honour of the visiting Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen. The official luncheon was held this afternoon at OBLU XPERIENCE Ailafushi.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen is on an official visit to the Maldives at the invitation of President Solih. Cabinet ministers and senior officials of the government joined the President and the Prime Minister and the visiting delegation.

During the visit, President Solih met with Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen and discussed matters of mutual concern. The two leaders also held official talks between the two countries, where deliberations focused on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.

As part of Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen’s official visit, key agreements were also signed between the two countries in visa facilitation, bilateral consultations, health cooperation, tourism cooperation, increasing trade, expanding investments, and economic cooperation aimed at further enhancing the existing relations.

The visit by Samdech Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen is his first to the Maldives. The Maldives and Cambodia established diplomatic relations on September 21, 1995.
