President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed arrived back in the Maldives on Thursday after concluding their official visit to the State of Qatar. The President and the First Lady visited Qatar at the invitation of the Qatari Amir, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The President and the First Lady also attended the semi-final matches of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022, hosted in Qatar. The visit symbolises the Maldives' close bilateral relations with Qatar.
