H.E. President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Thursday night presented the Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty (ODRMD) to the Minister of Health, H.E. Ahmed Naseem. He was presented with the laurels at the official ceremony held at Dharubaaruge to confer this year’s National Awards.

The Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty commemorates the rule of Al-Sultan Muhammed Shamsuddin. The President made the decision to honour Minister Naseem in order to recognise his national contributions to the government over a period of more than 37-years, as well as his role as one of the pioneers of the Maldives tourism industry during a precarious and uncertain time.

At the ceremony, the President stated that he believes that Minister Naseem's contributions and services to the country should be recognised and celebrated at a national level.
