Vice President Faisal Naseem on Tuesday met with the women’s national basketball team competing in the South Asian Basketball Association (SABA) Women’s Championship. The meeting was held at the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE).
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice President encouraged the team to strive for their best at the games and wished them success. He also spoke about the administration’s commitment to developing sports further and providing more opportunities for Maldivian athletes.
The Vice President handed over jerseys to the team members at the meeting. The Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Ahmed Mahloof, and senior officials from the ministry and the Maldives Basketball Association, attended the meeting.
