The First Lady of the Maldives, Her Excellency Fazna Ahmed has attended a book launching hosted by Her Excellency Mrs Emine Erdogan, the First Lady of the Republic of Turkey. The book, titled “My Travels to Africa”, was launched during a special event held at the Turkish House in New York City, attended by spouses of state and government leaders and representatives from NGOs and international organisations, among others.
The book, authored by the Turkish First Lady, is dedicated to her mother and details her visits to Africa from 2014 to 2020. Royalties from the book would be used to support African women and children in need.
First Lady Fazna was accompanied at the event by the Special Envoy for Climate Change, Her Excellency Sabra Ibrahim Noordeen.
