President sends well wishes to the President of Pakistan following him testing positive for Covid-19

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Tuesday sent a message to His Excellency Arif Alvi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, following the news that he tested positive for Covid-19.

The President’s message reads as follows:

“I read with concern that Your Excellency has tested positive for Covid-19. On behalf of the people and the Government of the Maldives, and on my own behalf, I wish Your Excellency a full and speedy recovery.

I also take this opportunity to reiterate the friendly and long-standing relations between the Maldives and Pakistan. By the grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) I hope that our next exchange finds Your Excellency in good health and in good spirits.”
