President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of congratulations to the new President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, following her assumption of office.
The President's message reads as follows:
“Excellency,
I congratulate you on becoming the sixth President of the United Republic of Tanzania. As you assume these responsibilities, rest assured that my Administration is committed to working together with Your Excellency’s Government to strengthen bilateral relations and address our common concerns, from enhancing trade, overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic, and reversing, mitigating and adapting to the adverse impacts of the climate emergency.
On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, I wish you, and the people of Tanzania, success and good fortune in the years to come.
