Vice President Faisal Naseem has held extensive discussions regarding the planned addition of a Child Development Centre to the Hulhumalé Hospital. The discussions, attended by officials of the hospital and other relevant agencies, were held in Hulhumalé Hospital this afternoon.

Officials of the hospital shared a proposal detailing the centre's plans with the Vice President and stated that staff recruitment would proceed simultaneously with structural development work. The new centre is slated to begin operations next year.

Going over the project's timeline, the Vice President assured the support of all relevant authorities towards the development and operations of the new centre. He added that it is essential for the centre to offer comprehensive child development services under one roof, giving precedence to it during the development and operational stages.

Following the meeting, the Vice President toured the area allocated for the centre. He was joined in the discussions today by the Special Advisor on Social Policy at the President's Office, Dr Mustafa Lutfi; and Undersecretary at the President's Office, Dr Abdul Malik. Additionally, several senior representatives of Hulhumalé Hospital also attended the discussions.
