President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence addressed to His Excellency Arif Alvi, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, following the passing of the country's former Prime Minister, His Excellency Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.
The President’s message reads as follows:
It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, His Excellency Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali. The late former Prime Minister will be remembered for his long and distinguished service towards the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
At this time of national grief, the Government and the people of the Maldives join me in extending our condolences and prayers to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Pakistan.
May Almighty Allah bless his soul and grant his family with strength and resolve.
