President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence addressed to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, following the passing of the country's Prime Minister, His Royal Highness the late Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The President’s message reads as follows:
Your Majesty,
On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, and on my own behalf, I offer my deepest condolences following the passing of His Royal Highness the late Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Royal Highness’s long and eventful tenure will be fondly remembered by the people of Bahrain and the global community, in light of the late Prince’s able statesmanship and skilled diplomacy.
May Almighty Allah grant him eternal paradise, and may the good relations between the people of Maldives and Bahrain long endure.
