The Committee Investigating Public Housing Schemes has this afternoon published the provisional list of eligible applicants for the H06 category (dedicated for single parents) of the “Hiyaa Public Housing Scheme.”
The list, published in the Government Gazette, details points accorded to the eligible candidates after re-evaluation by the committee. The announcement also outlines the basis for disqualification of applicants ineligible under the category and those who are unreachable for physical evaluation of their current living conditions.
Accordingly, the committee stated that candidates who have already been awarded housing under similar Government-sponsored social housing schemes would be disqualified. It also said, in the event both parents are considered eligible and listed in the provisional list for the H06 category, the housing unit will be awarded to the parent with custody of the child or children.
The committee also invited members of the public to submit any complaints or grievances regarding about the list via the official Hiya Complaints Portal at hcp.presidency.gov.mv. The portal will accept disputes from today until 3 p.m. on November 16, 2020.
