Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with officials from local media channels at the Health Emergency Operation Centre (HEOC). He praised their efforts to assist authorities spread awareness among the public regarding measures to control the spread of Covid-19 in the Maldives.
The Vice President emphasized his gratitude for the local media's tireless efforts to portray an accurate picture of the disease's health-risks within the country to local and international audiences. He also acknowledged that the frequent advice of the country’s Health Protection Agency (HPA) has been crucial in raising awareness among the public.
Speaking to the representatives, the Vice President highlighted that the success of the"Covid Huhtuvaanee Aharen" campaign can be credited to the media's coordinated efforts to promote individual responsibility in slowing the spread of Covid.
Media officials present at the meeting also noted the success of the campaign and thanked the Vice President for his support.
