ޑޮކްޓަރ އިމްތިޔާޒް މުޙްސިން

ޑޮކްޓަރ އިމްތިޔާޒް މުޙްސިނަށް ޚިދުމަތުގެ ހަނދާނީ ފިލައެއް އެރުވުމަށް ރައީސުލްޖުމްހޫރިއްޔާ ނިންމެވީ، ޑޮކްޓަރ އިމްތިޔާޒް ރާއްޖޭގެ ޞިއްޙީ ދާއިރާއަށް ކޮށްދެއްވާފައިވާ ޚިދުމަތްތަކުގެ އަގު ވަޒަންކުރެއްވުމުގެ ގޮތުންނެވެ. އޭނާ ޚިދުމަތް ކުރައްވަން ފަށްޓަވާފައިވަނީ 8 އޮކްޓޫބަރު 1987 ގައެވެ. ލޮލުގެ ޚާއްޞަ ޑޮކްޓަރެއްގެ ގޮތުން ސެންޓްރަލް ހޮސްޕިޓަލްގައި ޚިދުމަތް ފެށްޓެވިއިރު ޒަމާނީ ވަސީލަތްތައް ނެތުމާއެކު، ހޮސްޕިޓަލްގެ ލޮލުގެ ކްލިނިކު ތަރައްޤީ ކުރެއްވުމުގައި މުހިންމު މަސައްކަތްތަކެއް ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އަދި ލޮލުގެ ފަރުވާއަށް ބޭނުންވާ ޒަމާނީ ވަސީލަތްތައް ހޯއްދެވުމުގައި އެހީތެރިކަން ދެއްވިއެވެ.

ރާއްޖޭގެ ބައެއް ސަރަޙައްދީ ހޮސްޕިޓަލްތަކާއި، އަދި ބައެއް ރަށްރަށުގައި ހިންގި އައި ކޭމްޕްތައް ހިންގަވައިދެއްވުމުގައި ޢަމަލީގޮތުން ޑޮކްޓަރ އިމްތިޔާޒް ބައިވެރިވެވަޑައިގެންފައިވެއެވެ. 1990 ވަނަ އަހަރު ރާއްޖެއަށް އޮޓޮމޭޓަޑް ރެފްރެކްޝަން ތަޢާރުފު ކުރައްވައި، އަދި 1992 ވަނަ އަހަރު ފުރަތަމަ ފަހަރަށް އިންޓްރާރ އޮކިއުލަރ އިމްޕްލާންޓް (އައި.އޯ.އައި) ސަރޖަރީ ހެއްދެވީވެސް ޑޮކްޓަރ އިމްތިޔާޒެވެ. އޭގެފަހުން، އިންދިރާގާނދީ މެމޯރިއަލް ހޮސްޕިޓަލް (އައި.ޖީ.އެމް.އެޗް)ގެ އައި ޑިޕާޓްމަންޓްގެ ޚިދުމަތުގެ ފެންވަރު ރަނގަޅު ކުރައްވައި، ތަރައްޤީ ކުރެއްވުމުގައިވެސް ގިނަ މަސައްކަތްތަކެއް ކުރެއްވިއެވެ. އޭނާ ފުރުއްވާފައިވާ މަގާމުތަކުގެ ތެރޭގައި، ސެންޓްރަލް ހޮސްޕިޓަލްގެ ސީނިއަރ ރެޖިސްޓްރާރ އިން އޮފްތަލްމޮލޮޖީގެ މަގާމާއި، އައި.ޖީ.އެމް.އެޗް.ގެ ކޮންސަލްޓަންޓް އިން އޮފްތަލްމޮލޮޖީގެ މަގާމު ހިމެނެއެވެ.

ޑޮކްޓަރ އިމްތިޔާޒް ޚިދުމަތުން ވަކިވެވަޑައިގަތީ 7 އޮކްޓޫބަރު 2010 ގައެވެ.

 

Dr Imteyaz Mohsin was awarded this Plaque of Recognition, by the President of the Republic of Maldives, for his outstanding contributions to the field of medicine and healthcare.

Dr Imteyaz began serving as an ophthalmologist at Central Hospital in Male', on 8 October 1987. Realizing the challenges caused by technological limitations, he embarked on a mission to develop, and expand the range of state-of-the-art services offered at the hospital's eye clinic. Beyond the confines of the clinic, Dr Imteyaz has actively taken part in eye camps conducted at various regional hospitals and islands.

In 1990, Dr. Imteyaz introduced the Automated Refraction System, in a pioneering attempt to improve the quality of eye examinations in the country. Two years later, he conducted the first Intraocular Implant (I.O.I) surgery in the Maldives. He is also known for his painstaking efforts to improve the quality of services available at the Ophthalmology Department of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Dr. Imteyaz held the positions of Senior Registrar in Ophthalmology at Central Hospital and Consultant in Ophthalmology at IGMH. He left service on 7 October 2010.
