The President today extended New Year greetings and good wishes to the people.

The text of the President’s New Year message reads as follows:

“As we welcome a New Year, it gives me great happiness to extend my sincere New Year greetings and best wishes to the beloved people of the Maldives.

I also pray to the Almighty Allah to bless the Maldives and its people with greater heights of development, happiness, peace and prosperity in the year 2009.”
