President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this afternoon met with members of the Maamigili Island Council of South Ari Atoll.

During the meeting held at the President’s Office this afternoon, members of the council briefed the President on the current status of the island, and the most urgent needs of the island’s residents.

In this regard, council members noted the lack of resources at the health center. They also emphasized issues faced by the school. Further, the council members highlighted that the youth center and mosques are in need of renovation. In addition, council members noted that the Island community is in need of road development.

Speaking at the meeting, President Solih assured that the administration will put in every effort to fulfill the people’s needs. He also emphasized that he would give priority to solving issues faced by the health and education sectors.
