President Nasheed has today met with the visiting delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office. Discussions, at the meeting, were focused on the investment opportunities available in the Maldives.
Speaking at the meeting, the President welcomed Indian investors to venture into the country and share their vast experience and expertise with the Government. Further, he noted that Indian investments in the Maldives would improve the economy of the Maldives.
Members of the CII delegation expressed their willingness to invest in the Maldives. They also noted the support and cooperation they received during their meetings with the senior government official and the entrepreneurs of the Maldives. Furthermore, they added that their visit had been very successful.
