President Dr Mohamed Waheed has opened the modernised and improved Youth Center in Villingili today. At the ceremony held at the centre, the President appealed the people to make the best use of the facilities.

The President noted that such social centers strengthen the friendship and unity among youth. He also said that this center welcomes everyone, and was not established to accommodate people belonging to a certain political party.

Speaking on the different services currently available at the center, President Waheed highlighted plans for further development and additional services at the center.

Noting the low state of the country’s economy, the President expressed his gratitude to all the individuals for their assistance in the renovation and modernisation of the center.

At the ceremony, Minister of Human Resources, Youth and Sports Mohamed Hussain Shareef presented President Waheed, the first membership card of the center.
